After experiencing other tours on foot, we realized walking around town isn’t ideal for everyone. That’s when the idea came to life – creating a fun, immersive ghost storytelling experience where you can sit back and relax while being transported to different bars and taverns throughout town. You’ll enjoy signature cocktails and along the way, hear haunting Civil War tales, and take in the atmosphere without the long walks – making it the perfect nighttime experience in Gettysburg, PA!

Understanding the history of Gettysburg is the key to understanding why the paranormal activity here is unlike anywhere else on earth.
Three Days That Changed America Forever
From July 1st to July 3rd 1863, the Battle of Gettysburg became the bloodiest engagement of the American Civil War. General George Meade led 94,000 Union troops against General Robert E. Lee’s 72,000 Confederate soldiers across the fields and streets of a small Pennsylvania town that would never be the same again.
In just three days, more than 51,000 Americans were killed, wounded, or went missing. The sheer scale of death and suffering concentrated in such a small geographic area is what historians, paranormal investigators, and residents alike point to as the reason Gettysburg remains a focal point for unexplained activity more than 160 years later.
Virtually every building in the historic district served as a field hospital during or after the battle. Homes, churches, taverns, and hotels were filled with wounded and dying soldiers. The soil beneath the streets of Gettysburg absorbed the trauma of tens of thousands of lives cut short, and many believe those souls have never fully departed.
When we guide you through the streets of Gettysburg after dark, we are not passing through a theme park. We are moving through one of the most consequential and tragic sites in American history. The ghost stories are not invented. They are the natural result of what happened here.
51,000 Plus Casualties in Three Days
The Battle of Gettysburg produced more casualties than any other engagement in the entire Civil War, making it the defining tragedy of American military history.
The Only Civilian Death: Jennie Wade
On July 3rd 1863, 20 year old Mary Virginia "Jennie" Wade became the only civilian killed during the battle when a stray Confederate bullet pierced her kitchen door as she baked bread. Her spirit is reported to remain in the house on Breckenridge Street to this day.
The Phantom Regiment of Baltimore Street
Numerous residents and visitors have reported seeing a full formation of translucent Confederate soldiers marching through the streets of Gettysburg at night, still obeying orders given more than 160 years ago.
The Farnsworth House Inn: 16 Documented Spirits
Paranormal investigators have documented no fewer than 16 distinct spirits in this historic inn, including Confederate soldiers who fired from the attic during the battle and an eight year old boy still seen in the cellar.
